Working as a Administrator for Manor Adventure

Manor Adventure, Shropshire, is a busy Outdoor Education Centre located just outside Craven Arms, catering for over 300 children and over 40 instructors and teachers each day. We are now actively searching for an administrator to join the team on a part time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate must be presentable and have a can do attitude as you will be for most of our visitors the first face people will see in our reception area. Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.




As a Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Provide a warm welcome for all and also assist with any requests in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in the visitor’s book and are given a visitor badge
  • To answer the telephone in a friendly, professional and efficient manner, record and pass on messages to the relevant people.
  • Support the Head of Centre & Activities manager.
  • Work closely with the ‘Manor’ bookings administrator .
  • Allocate all residential visitors accommodation for the duration of their stay.
  • Send out a programme of activities to schools groups attending.
  • Booking of off-site educational visits at schools request.
  • Booking transport for Hill Walks / Educational visits.
  • Ensuring the chef has been informed of groups that need packed lunches for the day.
  • Liaise with maintenance team regarding accommodation / repairs / site issues.
  • Liaise with housekeeping team regarding accommodation in use or any accommodation issues.
  • Prepare folders for all visiting clients.
  • Liaise with the chef regarding any unforeseen dietary issues.
  • Responsible to programme meal times (week & weekend visits).

What experience or qualifications do you need:

  • Experience of using Microsoft word /outlook/ Excel.
  • Knowledge of GDPR. (General Data Protection Regulation)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Be able to work within a Team.
  • Self-motivated
  • Reliable
  • Punctual
  • Flexible approach

What we can offer you:

  •   Hours of work - 9am- 5pm - Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 9am-1pm Tuesday and Thursdays. *Onsite parking.
  •   Free food on lunch break.
