Working as a Activities Manager for Manor Adventure

As Activity Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of our activity programme, ensuring all sessions meet Manor Adventure’s high standards for safety, engagement, and educational value. You will lead and motivate a team of instructors, manage daily operations, and ensure the smooth running of adventure activities across the site.




As a Activities Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of all outdoor and adventure activities
  • Lead, mentor, and support the instructor team, fostering a positive and professional working environment
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safeguarding policies
  • Manage staffing rotas
  • Maintain equipment and activity areas to the highest standard
  • Communicate with school groups, group leaders, and visiting staff
  • Support the Head of Centre in developing and improving the activity programme

What experience or qualifications do you need:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and confident in leading a team
  • Passionate about outdoor education and working with young people
  • Skilled in managing activity delivery in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • A strong communicator with excellent leadership skills
  • Committed to safety, professionalism, and creating memorable experiences
  • Previous experience managing or supervising outdoor activity staff
  • Possess a Sea Kayak Leader qualification or already working towards qualification - essential
  • NGB qualifications (e.g, paddle sports, archery, climbing) are highly desirable
  • First Aid certificate (or willingness to train)
  • Experience in residential outdoor centres advantageous
